The diy water powered car has been in the news lately. It seemed amazing to us that we could easily convert water into hydrogen to run our car but we decided to give it a try.

After a couple months of research we finally found a good set of plans to produce a hydrogen generator that would power our car. We learned a lot with the project that we’d like to share with you.

What do you need to know to get started?

· Any vehicle, gas or diesel can be converted to run on hydrogen

· Detailed diy water powered car plans

· Common tools- cordless drill, wrenches etc.

Running a car on hydrogen gas is much like doing a conversion to run it on propane gas which is quite common. Anyone with the right instructions can do it.

Let’s start with the heart of the matter, the hydrogen generator and how it works.

This part is a little complicated, but after reading the instructions carefully we were able to pick it up.

Basically an electric current is passed through electrodes in a water filled container. The container is made from strong CPVC plastic pipe, so there is no safety concerns. It is perfectly safe.

The electric current stands the atoms of hydrogen and oxygen in the water on end and another quick jolt of electricity separates them.

Hydrogen bubbles float to the top and are captured to be used by your car’s engine. The hydrogen is then used as fuel just like gas or diesel.

The really amazing part is that after being burned it recombines in your exhaust to form water again, totally non-toxic.

Just think, no more emissions, no more stops at the gas stations to pay huge dollars for gas.

Did you know that gas prices are predicted to hit $7 per gallon next year? Ridiculous!

But you won’t have these problems since you will be running a diy water powered car.

And when you begin your home improvements remember to maintain accurate records of spending and save all receipts this will assist you enormously when the time comes to claim your home improvement tax deduction.
